Not long ago, ST introduce their new low cost series STM32C0xx. ST advertise the series as a MCU to replace traditional old fashioned 8-bit MCUs at a competitive price point.

Comparing STM32C071C8 with STM32F103C8
One big question is - WHY! The STM32C071 is not cheaper than the STM32F103, in fact in almost every measurable way it is lower spec'ed.
